I have been developing web applications for companies since 1996, from large e-commerce sites to business applications with huge sets of data.
I am thirsty for new knowledge. Keeping up with the latest tools, languages, technologies, and trends allows me to find the quickest, highest quality solution for the project at hand.
Some projects I have worked on as a developer:
- MisterArt.com
- Internet DVR Prototype
- Cable Application Suite
MisterArt.com
MisterArt.com is the largest online art supply store. I was one of the first employees hired. While my primary job was managing the 24x7x365 site, I would help with much of the development efforts.
Internet DVR Prototype
While working on trade shows for Scientific Atlanta, A Cisco Company I developed a proof of concept Internet DVR application. This was a fully functioning AJAX application that allowed the user to control their DVR in their house from anywhere with Internet access.
Cable Application Suite
In this application suite we receive millions of records per day from the cable system. From this raw data we interrupt viewing habits, check the systems health, and allow for capacity planning.
Not being tied to a particular technology or language allows me to be free to use the most appropriate solution when and where it is needed. This freedom allows for efficient solutions to problems in the projects that I work on.
